Please enjoy
reading some of my thoughts
Look around you, see and hear, and then wonder at the flight of a
bird, the smile of your child, the sound of the waves, the smell of new mown
grass, and be appreciative of all that is in your live.........just another
'average' day
If you can open your curtains every morning and, rain, hail, snow or
glorious sunshine still utter these words, then I guess you will have a lovely
day!
If you cannot create quality time for yourself what is the quality of
the time you are creating for others?
Optimism is such a wonderful trait to be born with and I was blessed
with bucket loads but it can also be learned. (In fact I had to re learn it
myself many years ago when I went through a 'brief' but painful episode of
anxiety) Here are 5 top tips for optimism, 1.Count your blessings every day and
then continue until you can list 20 without stopping 2) get out into nature, a
stroll round the garden, a walk in the park, 3. Focus on what you CAN do about
something don’t waste your energy fretting about things that can't be changed
4. Surround yourself with positive people, (and or thoughts) don’t allow people
to steal your energy with their negativity 5) Give yourself something to look
forward to every day.
We search high and low for happiness; we
look for it from others, in a frenzy of buying, at the bottom of a glass, in
constant activity. When all the time it is patiently waiting for us to
recognise that it is already there within us, in our own thoughts. Not in what
happens to us but in how we react to what happens. Not in what others say but
how we allow what they say to affect us. For it is only when we create our own
happiness from within that we can ever find extra joy in what others may bring.
And all the happiness we need today is just a change of thought away!
Mistakes are a fact, blame is optional and someone has to start it! Things will go wrong and if you create an
environment of 'punishment' when mistakes are made don't be surprised if people
go to great lengths to 'blame' someone else or to cover up the error. Encourage
people to do what they believe to be right based on common sense and if it
turns out to be 'wrong' then to know to admit it and learn from it. It’s
especially important that you don't 'beat' yourself up when you make an honest
mistake or the decision you make turns out to be less than ideal. Rejoice that
you have learned something from that 'mistake'
